5th Year
We are now proud to show you the bear that will celebrate the 5th year that our club has been bringing collectors together and offering them so much more than just a bear.
This masterpiece has been designed and handmade by Irene Tutte, in Germany. She is a master bear maker
As you can see he is made from a rich brown mohair, with deep peach coloured ultra suede pads (with the necessary TBO tattoo on his foot). He or indeed she has a clipped snout with peach coloured stitching for his nose and mouth and black, glass, boot button eyes. This fellow is stuffed with fibre and is wearing a leather thong around his neck.
Don't forget that throughout your year's membership there is much to enjoy. The bears at the Orphanage will send you and your bears a Christmas greetings and then 3 times a year a Termly Report is sent out. This has news and views and many special offer bears, many at 20 and 30% off, and hot deal bears as well. If you want to know that the bears are well made, you can be assured that the TBO has the best quality, you can be confident in your purchase - or as we say - your adoption.

4th Year
This little waif and stray is our bear to celebrate your 4th year in our club. Of course you can join in year 4 and skip the other years but most people prefer to collect them all.
This 11.5" bear is free when you join. He/She is made by Iris and Ches Chesney, the renowned bear makers in the UK. They were making bears in the early days of artist design and bear making in this country. The bear is made of mohair with glass eyes, stitched nose, cracked material for the foot pads and and filled with fibre. Yes, he does have the usual tatoo on his foot.

Yes, you can join the PTA in its 3rd year, without having to join for year 2.
This 12" bear is free when you join. He/She is made by Lynette Kennedy from South Africa of mohair with glass eyes and filled with fibre. He, too has a tatoo on his foot.

Our artist bears are why bear lovers collect our bears. The bears in our collection are unique. We spend much of the year travelling to far away places seeking out that treasure, the elusive bear artist spending all her time experimenting, being a perfectionist, creating a new masterpiece of a bear. These artists are excellent, the vast majority have many awards in their own countries. You can expect the perfect bear from us, the artist will have spent innumerable hours to produce the right face! Please, look at our artist bears, they are a collection to be proud of.
Irene has very kindly just designed and created for us a collection of new bears just for Teddy Bear Orphanage Collectors. You cannot adopt these from anywhere else. They are just for us. Check out the HOT DEALS section on the Ebay site if you are after discounted prices. The bears are always less than half their retail price. BARGAINS GALORE! Most of these bears are brand new but if they are re-housed bears it will clearly state that. (Re-housed means they used to belong to someone else who is now changing their collection. However, to qualify to be in our re-housing collection the bears must look as if they are brand new.) So you will not see a difference.
