How do I view the bears?
The bears are all in a shop on the Ebay website. It is possible to view the bears by clicking on the button on our home page. There are many categories our shop site for you to view. Click on the name of the bear to be able to see a large picture and read the information and price of each bear.
From time to time there are also bears in the Ebay Auction, these are also viewable through our Ebay Shop.

How do I register with Ebay?
To be able to purchase one of these bears you must registered with Ebay. If you have not done this before, register now by clicking on the button on our home page. Fill in all the details required.

Press register now.

Fill in your details.

You will be required to lodge a credit card with the site. It is totally secure. However, it is not necessary that you use this as a means of payment.

Yes, you do not have to register to view. Just click on the (name of tag on home page).

What ways are there to pay?
It is possible to pay:
1. On Ebay you click the 'Buy It Now' button and follow the instructions.

2. By cheque, payable to: The Teddy Bear Orphanage, sent to:
Howards Cottage, 92 Heath Street, St Helens, Merseyside, WA9 5NJ.
However, ring the office and explain you want to reserve the bear until your cheque arrives.

3. Ring the office and pay by credit or debit card over the telephone.

4. By Paypal, the account address is: info@teddybearorphanage.co.uk

5. For overseas buyers Paypal is preferable but it is possible to pay by bank transfer but the buyer pays all charges.

6. Payment by cash if the bear is picked up from the Orphanage.

7. You can use the 'Layaway Scheme'. See the question relating to the Scheme.

How does the layaway scheme work?
The price of the bear is divided into 4. One payment is paid immediately. The next are taken at monthly intervals. The bear is sent when the last payment has been sent.

How do I pay for a bear on layaway?
There are 2 options.
1. When purchasing through ebay or by telephone. Opt to pay by cheque and in the message section state that you want to use the layaway scheme. All 4 cheques should be sent at the same time, they are only deposited when the date becomes due.

2. If you wish to pay by credit card, telephone the office and state you want to use the layaway scheme and want to pay by credit card. The first payment is taken immediately, the other 3 are taken automatically at monthly intervals on the due date.

How are the bears delivered?
Single bears are sent out by Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded post. This does have insurance included.
Heavier bears or large quantities of bears are sent by City Link Carrier. This does include insurance and is delivered in 24 hours.
Bears traveling overseas are sent by Royal Mail and signed for, if available in your country.

What is the returns policy?
If you are not totally happy with the bear, you can return it within 7 days for a full refund, less postage, insurance and ebay/paypal charges.

Can I name a bear myself?
Yes, any single edition bear, whether from the Artist, Re-housing or Rescued bear range can be given a name by you. An extra charge of £6.50 is charged to pay for the passport and certificate alterations.

Do all bears come with a passport, certificate and travel blanket?
All artist, rescued and PTA bears automatically have a passport, adoption certificate and travel blanket. However, with HOT DEAL bear, these are an extra cost, depending on the size of the bear. These prices can be seen in the Ebay Shop or ring directly to the office.

Can I buy extra blankets?
Yes, contact the office and state the height of the bear and a price will be given. They range in price from £5 upwards.

Can I buy extra passports and certificates?
Passports and certificates can only be bought for bears that come from The Teddy Bear Orphanage but replacements can be bought for a fee. These can be ordered on the Ebay Shop or by telephone directly to the office.
